The idea for this project was to recreate a package design to elevate the brand, as well as create a more eco-friendly design. This product used to be packaged in a plastic clamshell box with little to no design elements. Now it can hold its own among the best brands in the store.
While the inside of the restaurant already had an amazing atmosphere, it was in the design department where they were lacking, there was no cohesion or similarities between different parts of the brand. The idea was to take the idea from the menu that was designed first, and create a brand out of that. Brand recognition is really important and creating some key elements that could be used over and over again without spelling out the restaurant's name was important and would keep customers new and old intrigued.
The fonts used needed to be readable while also giving off that rustic and homemade feeling. The display typeface works perfectly to fit that description, along with an easier to read sans-serifNot only was this project designing the artwork, the actual dieline package needed to be designed as well. For this concept I went with a two piece slide out box, one with all of the product info on it and then the interior box that holds the product with some cookie graphics on it.
